We had a hateful comment shared to our promotion for
LIVE BIG GIRL: A CHAIR THAT FITS
If you think this show promotes “an unhealthy lifestyle” then you missed the point.
Live Big Girl: A Chair That Fits tells of life as experienced by bigger bodied women in a world filled with opinions.
This show focuses on the multiple ways bigger bodies are excluded, criticized and how we as poets and performers want to LIVE NOW and address this through art, instead of waiting for bigger bodies to fit into acceptable shapes and sizes before being heard, seen and celebrated!
If you don’t know what the show is about- then come see it.
If you don’t like bigger bodies – then don’t watch our promos but what
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO IS STOP US! MOVE, WE GOT WORK TO DO OUT HERE!
These comments are solely those of me – Peggy Robles-Alvarado the dramaturg and director who knows that #magicmakingisnotforpendejas
and
Live Big Girl: A Chair That Fits is healing magic!
(Yup, my name is misspelled in all the press- but it’s me )
