Women Respond to Poe Workshop
with BRIO winner Peggy Robles-Alvarado. Unless otherwise noted, Big Read activities will take place at BCA’s future headquarters at 2700 East Tremont Avenue (corner of St. Raymond Avenue)
A generative workshop that examines and responds to the beauty of women and rhythm in life and death as seen in selected works of Edgar Allen Poe.
Participants will examine the theme of female beauty and rhythm as presented in selected poems by Edgar Allan Poe, and create their own original poetry and/or prose pieces using prompts that encourage the use of stylistic features present in Poe’s work.
