Ray Jane: Freedom Amended

Freedom Amended

my words revolve like
whirling red light
crimson signal
to
all
near
that I will not allow you to stifle me
with your fear

I
spill

with little to no
respect for your tenses
returning fire for your
red
remarks
serving your insistence
on grammar and prose
with eviction notice
notice
the disrespect
it's
for you

as you
hear my heart
with intent to critique

how
dare you?

how
could you?
claim to be
a handler of spirit
donning
Edward's
blades
beheading me
as you
slice wildly at my thoughts
mistake my rhythm
for
gimmick
your privilege demanding that I
squeeze myself into your
limit

Instead
I

open this spigot
saturating all you critics
ain't nothin’ but hot grease
on my skillet

had to die to myself to get this skill
for it I kill
get
explicit
if your bias is a hair above
implicit
I'll raise them hands
when I get to
spittin'
implore you to
witness
how
I'm
training dogmatist
who try to reign my shit
but you can't boss me
you
bigot

no sir
but you can
hold on while I pivot

feigning welcome
with your badness extended outwardly
handing me mic
with no electricity
oh
I see
cut me down so you can pretend I am no longer a tree
stand in my shadow
and attempt to darken me

nah
keep that energy
I
will
be
free

not begging anyone
to unbind me

it seems

you
need a refresher
so
allow me

you see

these
flying units of language
idioms morphing
in
to
vocable lexemes
my
entire
verbal
spectrum
awash
in utterances of
ex-tremes
you
may not
paraphrase
my next theme
this
lo-cu-tion
demands decrees
to
affirm solemn words
to color my pledges green
I
don't
give a
fuck
if you like rhy-ming!
you
should
consider me obscene
take a line of mine
and pretend not to be a feen

but shorty

we can all
see you lean

so let me go ahead and get back to what I mean

simply

I do not appease

continuing
I’ll go on

expressing my promises in blood
or however
I please
